Child’s swimming bag
This was a request from my four year old niece and I’m recording the details so I don’t forget them because I think I may want to make more of them.

This is a heavy knit, double-faced wool. I had just enough to make a shortened Sapporo (with a bit of piecing). It is unlined with Liberty tana lawn pockets.
I Am Patterns blazer in a loose weave viscose tweed with a cotton lawn lining.
A Kalle made in a double layer of soft shirting and embroidered with sashiko thread.
It’s a Kalle shirt in a parrot-print, crisp cotton lawn (with a few pattern changes made).
The Grainline Studios Archer popover variation in a beautiful, double-sided Japanese double gauze. I made the collar bigger and the sleeves smaller.
Top half Grainline Linden, bottom half Named Talvikki in a very lovely Atelier Brunette French Terry (with added thumb-hole cuffs for good measure).
Named Patterns Talvikki Sweater in a soft, heathered grey sweatshirt fabric.
A heavy jersey stripy Cherie-Cherie tee from I Am Patterns with a surprise heart shaped back.
This is the second Lottie dress I’ve made. This is is colourblocked in two different double gauzes from Nani Iro.
This is a dress version of Christine Haynes’ Lottie made in ikat. So many options, it is my perfect shift/tunic/dress/shirt. Love it!
Jeans mended using Sashiko thread, needles and stitches…two ways.
This is the Pan top from the IAmPatterns Goddess collection. It’s made from two beautiful broderie anglaises bought on a trip to Rome.
Closet Case Files Carolyn Pajama bottoms in Michael Miller flamingo border print- happy pajamas/pyjamas (depending on your continent)!
A Grainline Tiny Pocket Tank in Liberty tana lawn cotton. Made using the same print in 2 different colourways and a dropped-hem at the back.
Grainline Scout Tee with split-back. Made in cotton with bias bound edges.
Indigo denim and Liberty tana lawn Miette skirt- soooo wearable!
Colette Peony- If this post had a strapline it would be “Should have made a toile”
A Colette Laurel in Liberty Tana Lawn and my first ever dress.
Love this shift dress from Hush with a neoprene front and cotton jersey back. Definitely a future make!
Grainline Studio Alder Shirt Dress with sleeves added from the Archer Button Up Shirt. Love this fabric- A Ghastlie End from Alexander Henry.
The Dress Shirt from Merchant and Mills in Liberty cord. Love the dress. The pattern needed a lot of adjustment to get the right fit though.
I love the possibilities opened up by free-motion embroidery and used it to tell the ‘Story of me’ in this quilt…or maybe blanket would be a better description.
A simple hand tied, high loft quilt made from beautiful bright Ikea fabrics.
The Sewaholic Cordova Jacket- my very tailored version of this lovely double peplum jacket pattern in a wool mix with a Kokka cotton lining.
Zinnia skirt by Colette made in goldfish orange cotton lawn and hand-printed with a flock of birds around the bottom. My very first sewing project, very imperfect but loved and worn often.
Liberty crepe de chine and cotton circle scarf- a very quick sew.
