This is the Audrey in Unst cardigan, pattern by Gudrun Johnston. There are lots of versions of this beautiful pattern to be found from others on Ravelry. This is mine…with a couple of pattern adaptions.
Made from
Bluefaced Leicester light DK in Turbillion from The Uncommon Thread bought from Loop London. It’s a stunning yarn, I was completely sold on the little splashes of colour that appear as you knit it up.

Pattern adaptions
- Lengthened the cuff ribbing to make the sleeves full length. I love the look and definition of the half-twisted rib and prefer full length sleeves

- Doubled the width of the button bands to 12 rows each rather than the six of the pattern

- Added a neckband rather than the icord bind off in the pattern. This was because I wanted the neckline to be slightly higher and like the look of the ribbing all the way round.

This was a project where blocking made a huge difference!

Verdict
This is perfect for pulling over dresses at work, the long ribbed section at the hem makes the fit very flattering and the lace detail on the bib looks great. I’m very happy with the longer sleeves and larger button bands. This is in regular rotation in my work wardrobe.
